Your Fraud Risk Flag is a real-time indicator that helps network companies and partners spot unusual activity on your account early — before it becomes a bigger issue. If you've noticed your flag has changed to Yellow, this article explains what that means and what to do next.
What is the Fraud Risk Flag?
Pruuvn® continuously monitors your submitted documents and account activity for signs of inconsistency or unusual patterns. This produces a simple, color-coded flag that gives you and your network partners a quick signal of your current risk standing.
Flag Levels
Flag | Risk Level | What it means |
🟢 Green | Low | No inconsistencies detected. Standard monitoring continues. |
🟡 Yellow | Medium | One or more inconsistencies were detected and are being reviewed. |
🔴 Red | High | Significant or repeated inconsistencies requiring immediate review. |
A Medium (Yellow) flag is not a suspension or a violation finding. It does not block your verification status or your ability to work within the network. It's a signal that something in your recent documents or activity looked different than expected, and it's being looked at.
What Can Trigger a Yellow Flag
Yellow flags are generated when Pruuvn's monitoring detects things like:
- Document inconsistencies — mismatched information across submitted documents (for example, a policy number, address, or coverage detail that doesn't match a prior submission or the source record)
- Unusual document patterns — a document that looks altered, incomplete, or inconsistent with typical formatting for that document type
- Behavioral pattern changes — activity on your account that differs from your normal, established pattern (for example, a sudden change in submission frequency or timing)
A single flagged item is usually enough to move you from Green to Yellow. It does not necessarily mean anything was submitted in bad faith — mismatched data can come from a typo, an outdated document, or a data entry error just as easily as anything else.
How to Resolve a Yellow Flag
- Check your dashboard — Open your Passport dashboard and look for the specific document or activity the flag is attached to.
- Review the flagged item — Compare it against your original source document (policy, license, ID, etc.) for the mismatch.
- Correct and resubmit — If something needs fixing (an outdated document, a typo, a mismatched field), upload a corrected version.
- Contact support if it looks right — If you've reviewed the item and everything appears accurate, reach out to Pruuvn member support so a team member can take a closer look.
Once the underlying issue is resolved or confirmed accurate, your flag updates back to Green.
